INTERIOR DESIGN COURSES IN A SURREY FORMER DAIRY
Short Course
The short course is an intensive 2 day interior design course taught by a graduate teacher in a former dairy near Guildford in Surrey. It is aimed at those wanting a professional finish in their own home, and for those looking for a new life direction.
The key principles of design and decoration are explained and illustrated with lovely examples. Everyone leaves with something to treasure (their portfolio) and information about a new way to decorate. This is a simple system that involves decorating around a picture - either art, or more usually, from another source such as a styled magazine shoot. These 'curated images' result in a more original look, and make the whole process of decorating a room virtually foolproof. It really is a trailblazing new way to go about design hence the Telegraph award (and copyright protection).

For those looking for a new direction, the portfolio can be taken to job interviews, and the extension pack used to start a small business.

Each course is highly structured to ensure excellent results in minimum time - and standards are high - but the approach is friendly and kind. They take place on a Thursday and Friday (10am-4pm) just a few times a year, and numbers are kept low to allow for personalisation. All of the 2025 courses are now fully booked, but there are 2 places remaining on a course taking place on 12th and 13th March 2026. To find out more, please visit the contact page. One to one courses are sometimes available for those not wishing to wait.
